Wildwood Cemetery Maintenance Center Capital Campaign
Wildwood Cemetery is now in an extraordinary position to take care of maintenance issues that have been deferred practically since the cemetery’s inception. Lot sales have increased, the public’s interest in the cemetery and the grounds has grown, people are volunteering to help with fundraising, landscape design and future programming, and many people come to visit the grounds on a daily basis.
The new Maintenance Center will provide:
The new Maintenance Center is a significant investment in the future smooth running of Wildwood Cemetery. The Amherst Cemetery Association’s Executive Board is hopeful that the project can be paid for quickly and efficiently using a variety of funding sources. The Center is projected to cost $300,000. Our plan is to raise $150,000 through a Capital Campaign this Fall. We will solicit lot owners, friends and family of those buried on the grounds, community businesses and we will borrow the other $150,000 from our Endowment.
We look forward to, and greatly appreciate, your support of this important endeavor.
